It captures a period when the \"more traditional instrumentation\" and the \"overwhelming vocal presence\" beautifully intertwined. This is a truly wonderful masterpiece of Manding music, where Koïta's expressive vocals, with their rich and resonant timbre, soar over the mellow beats of percussion instruments like the balafon and ngoni, and the intricate melodies of the kora and violin.
