A3 pairs lightly grooving Brazilian rhythms with the crystalline tones of the steel pan, maintaining a relaxed sense of tension throughout. A4 is equally impressive, contrasting an array of three-dimensionally resonant percussion with primitive Afro chants. Filled with a tropical atmosphere from beginning to end, the album presents colorful steel-pan fusion and stands as one of the finest works in Narell’s discography.
