Co-produced with saxophonist Steve Coleman, who also appeared on Dave Holland Trio’s 1988 ECM album Triplicate. Highlights include A1, distinguished by a synthesizer tone reminiscent of steel pan, and A5, which opens with Wilson’s scat vocals. Throughout the album, sophisticated arrangements and performances blend seamlessly with Wilson’s magical voice. Particularly recommended are A4, with its superb urban and emotionally charged groove, and B1, a breezy, uplifting track driven by an infectious Latin feel.
