Recorded in Casablanca, Morocco and Paris, the album features not only Moroccan musicians but also former Embryo member Roman Bunka. It is filled throughout with ethno-beat richly infused with the flavor of raï, the North African dance music that flourished within Paris’s immigrant communities in the 1980s.
