This 1979 album captures his artistry, manufactured and recorded by Kojima Recording, with Yukio Kojima himself handling the engineering. The program includes a shinobue piece of unknown authorship said to have been handed down for centuries in the Kiso region of Nagano (A1), a traditional meriyasu tune once played in Edo-period kyōgen theater (A2), and a work for flute and biwa specially composed for this recording (A3) by Koji Bantani, a student of Olivier Messiaen known for his orchestral and operatic compositions.
