A3 is a nostalgic waltz-jazz number that moves with a supple groove and delicate sense of space. Throughout, the album delivers the polished, translucent contemporary jazz sound so characteristic of ECM. B1 is especially outstanding, its understated coolness concealing a deep and quietly compelling groove.
