Dedicated to musicians who had a profound influence on Hyder himself, including Philly Joe Jones, Max Roach, and Roy Haynes, the album consists of two extended performances, with Side A running for 19 minutes and Side B approaching 18 minutes. Hyder is joined by Paul Rogers (b), Roberto Bellatalla (b), Elton Dean (sax, wood flute), Chris Biscoe (sax), Ted Emmett (tp), and Nick Evans (tb) in a powerful septet performance.
