This is a Japan-produced release, produced by Yoshio Ozawa.\u0026nbsp;The album is centered on a quartet with Hilton Ruiz on piano, Earl May on bass, and Warren Smith on drums and percussion, with Karl Rausch appearing on guitar on two tracks only. Taking a step away from Brown’s avant\/free jazz direction, it presents beautifully scenic contemporary jazz that seems to carry forward the spirit of his 1975 masterpiece Vista. A masterpiece among masterpieces.
