This heartwarming collection of lo-fi sampling music was inspired by Ie (House), a work by Shigenari Ohnishi, the Hokkaido-based sculptor\/illustrator also known for album artwork for artists such as Herbie Hancock and Ryuichi Sakamoto. Midan was deeply moved by Ohnishi’s work during a visit to his private museum, Shige-chan Land, and the album beautifully reflects that encounter.
