Highlights include A1, where minimal, refraining piano and organ phrases are joined by a deeply nostalgic acoustic guitar melody; A3, with its mysterious atmosphere created through a child’s singing voice and toy piano; and B7, where various sounds intertwine while gently drifting with a distinctive floating sensation. Throughout the album, Comelade makes brilliant use of toy piano, toy drums, percussion, synthesizers, flute, horns and more, presenting a remarkable work colored from beginning to end by a uniquely evocative ambience, ranging from modern classical touches to electronics, drone, noise and ambient music.
