It was recorded in the same year at Longview Farm in Missouri, said to be the most beautiful farm in the world, with Pat Metheny himself producing and Manfred Eicher serving as executive producer. At this stage, his true forte, the guitar synthesizer, had not yet been introduced, and he played 6-string\/12-string guitars, with Lyle Mays' Oberheim and autoharp providing the electronic sounds.
