Following the radical experiments of Synthesize Show, an exceptionally unusual entry in Bley’s career, he returned here to the acoustic piano. Incorporating prepared-piano techniques, Bley delivers a superb performance in which melodies of singular beauty are spun with his unmistakable aesthetic sensibility.
