The quartet features George Duke (p, synth), Don Menza (ts, ss, fl), and Dave Young (b). As the title suggests, the album ranges from aggressive pieces built around complex polyrhythms to high-speed Brazilian fusion and bolero jazz highlighted by Menza’s floating flute. The performances are superb throughout.
