Highlights include A1, where soaring trumpet and cello melodies rise high above the delicate lines of Towner’s twelve-string guitar as they cascade down like a shower, and B1, featuring an incredible bass performance by Eddie Gomez, who quietly scats along with his own solo. A masterpiece of lyrical contemporary jazz that paints an unquestionably magnificent sonic landscape. This is the very essence of ECM.
