Highlights include A1, a breezy cover of a Stevie Wonder classic with a Brazilian-flavored arrangement; A3, a bluesy rendition of a Carl Perkins composition also performed by Harold Land and Harold Mabern; and B1, a soul-jazz tune originally featured on Jackie McLean’s Blue Note masterpiece It’s Time!.
