The outstanding septet features Joe Henderson on tenor saxophone, Carter Jefferson on tenor and soprano saxophones, Steve Turre on trombone, Onaje Allan Gumbs on piano, Clint Houston on bass, and Gene Greif on drums. Their richly layered ensemble sound and superb performances remain cool and refined while carrying an emotional intensity that can be felt throughout. A true classic.
