An album released in 1987 by the Hungarian group Amasinda Percussion Group, consisting of four percussionists: Zoltan Racz, Karoly Bojtos, Zoltan Vaczi, and Zsolt Sarkany. This excellent work presents minimal percussion music throughout, featuring scores by John Cage and George Hamilton Green, among others. Highlights include track A2, a piece by Laszlo Sary where minimal phrases on vibraphone and marimba gently layer and unfold, and track B3, a high-energy rendition of African traditional music driven by deep bass percussion and resonant instruments at full throttle. Highly recommended.
A2 : Laszlo Sary “Pebble Playing in a Pot”
B3 : Traditional African Music
