CHEE SHIMIZU
Chee Shimizu has been active as a DJ for a long time both in Japan and abroad with a free-form style of playing, ranging from listening music to ambient, dance music, experimental music, and sweet Japanese music. Shimizu has also worked as a musical itinerary guide in a variety of capacities like music selector, compiler, writer, producer, record shop and record label owner, and remixer and re-editor for many years. On the other hand, Shimizu is involved in live sessions with improvisers, and his album as Chee Shimizu + miku-mari was released in February 2021 on the ESP Institute label in LA, with remixes of international artists on the way. Shimizu is widely known in Japan and abroad as the author of "Obscure Sound”.
