The Harmonic Choir - Hearing Solar Winds a l'Ecoute des Vents Solaires
Ocora (France) 1988

sleeve : EX(very slightly color-faded)
media : EX/VG+(some light noise. B1 has some pop noise)

A 1984 album by The Harmonic Choir, the group founded in 1975 by New Mexico-based composer and meditation guide David Hykes, one of the foremost practitioners of overtone singing, released on the renowned French traditional music label Ocora. The album consists entirely of harmonic choral works composed under the strong influence of Mongolian khöömei and Tibetan Buddhist overtone chanting. True to the title Hearing Solar Winds, the layered overtone-rich voices seem to vibrate through the air, creating the uncanny impression of sunlight itself being transformed into sound. A profoundly immersive recording that is also highly recommended as deep ambient music.

A3: Part III : Arc Descents
B1: Part IV : Gravity Waves
