sleeve : EX-(some light color-faded.)

This album, released in 1983 by the Penguin Cafe Orchestra—a group formed around British composer Simon Jeffes, who lived in Japan during the 1970s—follows their 1976 debut Music From The Penguin Café, released on Brian Eno’s Obscure label. Side A features one track each from their first album and their second album released in 1981, along with one new track making its first appearance on this release. Of particular note is track A3, the new piece, which stems from an experimental session Jeffes conducted with Ryuichi Sakamoto during a visit to Japan, originally created for NHK’s program Minna no Uta. The track features the use of the classic Omnichord. Side B contains three live recordings from their 1982 Japan tour. All tracks showcase the group's signature enchanting and floating soundscape.
