This was featured in the guidebook OBSCURE SOUND REVISED EDITION. This is the album by Steve Reich, one of the world's leading composers of minimal/contemporary music, released on ECM in 1982. Although Reich is of Jewish German descent, this album is based on Jewish music and doctrine, and the female chorus and the refrains and long tones of the various instruments have a religious sound, but without such things, all the open sounds appeal directly to the emotions. I don't know what Reich's religious background is or what his intentions were in creating this music, but it is true progressive, world, and trance music. Please feel the moment of light coming out of the sound. Original German pressing.
