This fourth installment features music from six films directed by Hideo Onchi. This superb release offers a deep appreciation of Takemitsu’s lyrical sensibility, expressed through styles such as chanson, tango, jazz, and mood music. In particular, the vibraphone melody on track B1 is exquisitely beautiful and sweet. A highly, highly recommended album.
