This is the 2nd album eleased in 1980, by 14 Bis, the progressive rock band from Minas Gerais, Brazil, which included Flávio Venturini—who would later leave behind the masterpiece Nascente in 1982. Featuring elegant orchestral arrangements, the album showcases their outstanding choral work on the acoustic folk track A2, as well as high-speed progressive rock on A4, which rises with intensity from a New Age–like introduction. The music displays a distinctly Minas identity, blending a progressive spirit reminiscent of Egberto Gismonti with a tropical pop sensibility in perfect balance. There’s also a psychedelic, spacey touch that makes it truly remarkable. This is a Brazilian reissue, likely released in the early 1980s, notable for its rare design with the band’s logo printed on the center label.
