An album of string quartets composed by Akira Miyoshi and Akio Yashiro, released in 1968 from JVC's "Contemporary Music of Japan" series. Performed by a string quartet consisting of Mari Iwamoto (violin), Hiroaki Tomoda (violin), Junji Suganuma (viola), and Toshio Kuronuma (cello). The A side by Akira Miyoshi was commissioned by Nippon Broadcasting System and is a quartet in three movements: the first movement is a confrontation of 3 and 8 degrees, the second movement is 4 and 6 degrees, and the third movement combines the basic principles of the entire work. The B-side by Akio Yashiro is a sonata in cyclic form with four parts.
