A 1976 duo album by Italian-born American drummer Andrea Centazzo—known for many classic recordings such as Ictus and Fragmentos—and Italian trumpeter Guido Mazzon, who has also released works in collaboration with Stormy Six. The session is not limited to their primary instruments, drums and trumpet, but also incorporates a wide variety of percussion instruments, prepared piano, voice, and even mysterious, unidentified percussive sounds. Together, they engage in a free improvisation session filled with dynamic interplay that shifts between intensity and restraint. As with many of Centazzo’s works, this album stands out for being completely free of impenetrable complexity—making it highly approachable and enjoyable. Highly recommended.
There is a surface scratch midway through Side B that causes several soft pops and one section with a noticeable crackling noise.
