This is an album released in 1988 by Andrew Hill, an American pianist who left many masterpieces for Blue Note from the mid-60s to the early 70s. This is a solo piano work featuring his own original score, also "Darn That Dream" which Bill Evans also performed on the classic album "Undercurrent," and "Afternoon in Paris," left by John Lewis of MJQ. A wonderful performance that simply intoxicates with its beautiful melody played with a lovely and fragile emotional touch. The ragtime number B1, a return to the roots, is also excellent. His piano solos are very sophisticated, but they appeal to the deepest of emotions. It is a highly recommended disc that goes without saying.
A1: Retrospect
