Album released in 1969 by Astrud Gilberto, one of the leading bossa nova singers of the late 50s, created by white middle-class students and musicians living on the coast of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It was recorded live at a concert in Italy in the same year, and is sung entirely in Italian, with accompaniment by Brazilian musical greats such as Walter Wnderley, Joao Donato, Don Sebesky and Claus Ogerman, as well as an orchestra. The album is a milestone of sophisicated music, featuring extremely delicate and soft-sounding performances. A must for a refreshing break in the hot summer. This is a rare disc that was produced only in Italy and Japan.
