American pianist Benny Aronov, who played with Terry Gibbs and Lena Horne in the Los Angeles jazz scene in the mid-50s, moved to New York in the 60s and played on sessions with Jim Hall, Lee Konitz, and many other musicians. This album was released in 1979, and performed Arnov's original compositions, Duke Ellington and standard tunes, and orthodox bebop tunes are all featured on this album. B4, a cover of a song from "Stories" released in 1976 by Tom Harrell, one of the best trumpeter/flugelhorn players still active today, is especially outstanding.
