This album was released in 1971 by Hör Zu's Black Label, a German experimental music label, under license from Deutsche Grammophon's Avantgarde series. Side A features Bernd Alois Zimmermann's "Présence," a work for violin, cello, and piano, composed in 1961, known for incorporating theatrical ideas into chamber music and layering temporal and citation-based concepts. Side B features Dieter Schnebel's representative work "Glossolalie," by a composer known for extending vocalization, noise, and gestures. This is an important work that brings together two directions in German avant-garde music from around 1960 on one record.

A: Bernd Alois Zimmermann “Présence”
B: Dieter Schnebel “Glossolalie”
