A masterpiece album released in 1975 by British musician Brian Eno, who began his career as a member of the British rock band Roxy Music, on his self-founded Obscure label. Side A features a long track recorded in his own studio, where a synthesizer passing through a digital recall system was processed with a graphic equalizer and an echo unit, then sent to an open-reel recorder, and then delayed by another recorder, which was then recorded back, showcasing a truly discreet ingenuity. Side B is a three-part suite featuring The Cockpit Ensemble, conducted by Gavin Bryars. Both sides are wonderful examples of experimental work that can be seen as a precursor to the "Ambient" series, which was inspired by Erik Satie's "Musique d'ameublement" and defined music as an environment in urban life. Both sides are long, especially side A which is over 30 minutes, so the grooves are shallow and the sound is low, which means you can hear a slight crackling noise during playback. The record surface is very clean.
