This is a 1978 album by the American saxophonist Charles McPherson, who has collaborated with Charles Mingus, Barry Harris, Pepper Adams, and has also been prolific as a bandleader since the 1960s. The album features a quartet with Mickey Tucker on piano, Cecil McBee on bass, and Freddie Waits on drums. The session maintains a cool and sophisticated ambiance while offering a light and mature sound. One standout track is A3, a beautiful Bossa Jazz piece with Brazilian rhythms and soft melodies. Another recommended track is B2, which features an exhilarating Samba rhythm. This album is a remarkable musical experience.
