An album released in 1983 by Nigerian singer Chief Stephen Osita Osadebe and his group, Nigeria Sound Makers International. Osadebe began his career in the 1950s, performed in the 1960s as a member of Golden Age, a dance band he led, and remained active until his passing in 2007. Side A features an extended, danceable highlife track driven by a lively rhythm section, where bouncing basslines intertwine with drums and percussion. The fluid guitar riffs, reminiscent of neighboring Congo’s soukous, race through the composition, while the horn ensemble and solo sections add a colorful and uplifting touch. On Side B, a laid-back three-beat groove combined with spoken-word highlife creates an irresistibly warm and groovy atmosphere.
