Som Da Gente (Brazil) 1983
SDG-019 (LP)
sleeve : VG+(SRW, some wear on edge and corner, light dirts.)
media : EX/EX(some slightly noise.)

An album released in 1983 by D'Alma, a guitar trio consisting of three highly skilled guitarists who represent the contemporary Brazilian music scene: Ulisses Rocha, Andre Geraissati, and Mozart Mello. This beautiful guitar ensemble paints a pastoral, nostalgic soundscape throughout, blending elements of gypsy music such as flamenco with touches of country and folk. Tracks like A3 and B1 stand out with intricate acoustic guitar arpeggios and solos that pour down like a tropical squall, all within a richly reverberant sound field. The album is closely aligned with the sonic world of Egberto Gismonti and his label, Carmo. Its superb mixing and recording quality rival that of ECM, Europe’s premier independent jazz label. This work also demonstrates that Brazil’s recording technology had already reached an impressively high standard by the early 1980s.

A3: Sonho de Voar
B1: Roda Gigante
