This is an album released in 1986 by American jazz drummer Jack DeJohnette, who has excelled in numerous sessions, including with Miles Davis and Keith Jarrett, and has also left behind many masterpieces on ECM. He collaborates with American saxophonist David Murray, who has hhbeen making a unique impression in various sessions since the mid-1970s. Fred Hopkins joins in on only two tracks. The combination of rhythmic bass clarinet and primitive drums in track A3, as well as the phrasing that evokes elements of African ethnic music in track B1, leaves a memorable impression. Together, they deliver an aggressive avant-garde jazz performance that shows their synergy.
