The first album by German artist Andreas Dorau's project Die Doraus und die Marinas, was released on the Ata Tak label in 1981. The album features female singer Carmen Gasper, Jurgen Keller (who has also worked with Holger Hiller), and trombonist Ludwig Gotz. Their techno-pop is a strange mix of British new wave/post-punk, American no-wave, and Kraftwerk influences, and it's rough and unrefined, but I think they're doing it on purpose.
