This is an album released in 1979 by the American pianist Don Pullen, who gained prominence in the 1960s with Giuseppi Logan's group and had notable collaborations with Milford Graves, as well as numerous sessions with Albert Ayler, Charles Mingus, George Adams, and others. The album features recordings made in a studio in Milan, Italy, in 1978, alongside drummer/percussionist Don Moye from the Art Ensemble of Chicago. While the focus of the album is energetic avant-garde jazz with aggressive interplay, the standout track is undoubtedly the title track on side B1. It is a superb reggae tune where Pullen's organ grooves gently along with a percussive beat. It's a fantastic performance that could be likened to a response to Kool & The Gang's "Summer Madness." I've been playing it a lot in this summer. Highly recommended.
