On this 1976 album, German synthesizer player Eberhard Schoener, who has also released work featuring Sting and members of The Police, explores the theme of Balinese folk music, and joined with Pete York(dr), Siegfried Schwab(g). A3 is a mysterious meditation music with Balinese gamelan and Sigi Schwab's acoustic guitar. Pete York's fast drumming, Eberhard Schoener's trippy synthesizer and Kecak's shouting fly through the space with high tension. It's a coaxial fusion of electronics and gamelan. You don't hear music like this very often.
