This album was featured in the guidebook OBSCURE SOUND REVISED EDITION. Released in 1989 by the Mexican musician duo of guitarist Eblen Macari—known for his acid-tinged folk works incorporating electronic elements—and keyboardist Jose Luis Almeida, this is an obscure yet absolutely stunning Balearic New Age masterpiece. Eblen Macari has produced numerous works that blend a folky sensibility with electronics, and this album is no exception. It features a seamless fusion of Almeida’s sequenced electronic sounds with Macari’s wet and delicate guitar tones, resulting in tracks that range from crystal-clear soundscapes to pensive ambient pieces. The entire album delivers performances that rival—and at times surpass—the Spanish experimental/New Age works of artists like Suso Saiz, Luis Delgado, and Finis Africae. Not a single filler track in sight. A wholehearted and enthusiastic recommendation to everyone.
