Batucada No 3 : The Exciting Rhythm Of The Wild Brazilian Carnival

A 1971 album featuring traditional Brazilian music—batucada and samba—performed by the percussion group Escola De Samba of Rio, who have been active since the 1950s in events like the Rio Carnival. Produced by Armando Pittigliani, who has also worked on projects with Tamba Trio and Jorge Ben. The album is filled with danceable tracks where the dry, vibrant sounds of various Brazilian folk instruments—such as pandeiro, tambourine, reco-reco, agogô, cuíca, and surdo—colorfully swirl through the space. This unique sense of rhythm is quintessentially Brazilian. Original Brazilian pressing.
