This is the first solo album by Frankie Hernandez, who was the main vocalist of the famous band Impacto Crea, which gained popularity in the 1970s and left behind six original albums. It was released in 1981 and is an unknown masterpiece of New York Latin music, produced by Luis Garcia. While it is orthodox Latin music adhering to basic formats such as salsa, mambo, and cha-cha-cha, it is a wonderful album featuring sharp, catchy percussion rhythms, a thick brass section intertwined with bright backing piano, and Frankie Hernandez's passionate and alluring vocals, which are vibrant and full of flair. This album is highly recommended not only for those who like the Fania label and its affiliates, but also for those who want to experience authentic Latin music. (Chee)
