The album was released in 1987 by Grand Zaiko, a group formed by Manuaku Waku, a guitarist from Kinshasa, Congo, who was also a member of Zaiko Langa Langa. The album features the choral work of five members, Adamo Ekukla, Djeffar Lukombo, Djo El, Djo Poster Mumbata, and Shimita, and is a lively soukous with percussive rhythms and Manuaku Waku's signature electric guitar and digital synthesizer sounds. The back of the cover features a photo of Nezenze Mogengo holding a never-before-seen Yamaha portable keyboard.
