This 1975 leader album by American saxophonist Jimmy Heath, young brother of MJQ bassist Percy Heash and old brother of drummer Albert Heath, features a quartet with Barry Harris (p), Sam Jones (b) and Billy Higgins (ds). Heath play his scores from the past are sublimated into groovier compositions, standard numbers from the 1930s, which Archie Shepp also excelled at, and 4-beat Latin jazz, all played with a lustrous, colorful maturity.
