Masahiko Togashi
Song for Myself
East Wind (Japan) 1976
EW-8006 (LP) w/insert.
sleeve : EX-(wear, collapse and wrinkle on corner, dirts)
media : EX-/EX-(some light surface noise and pop noise)

This album was released in 1974 by Masahiko Togashi, a great drummer and percussionist who was paralyzed due to a spinal cord injury, but continued to perform by creating his own unique technique. Sadao Watanabe, Masaaki Kikuchi and Masahiko Sato participated in this album. The duo A1 with Sadao Watanabe depicts a landscape like a landscape painting, the duo A2 with Masahiko Sato has fine percussion and piano moving around the sound field, the solo B1 has a contrast of mellow percussion tones and fine echoing cymbals, and the duo B2 with Masaaki Kikuchi develops in a slow and steady manner. This is one of the best Japanese ethnic spiritual jazz.

A1: Haze
B1: Song for Myself
