This album was released in 1986 by Mory Kante, a national singer and kora player from Guinea, a country on the western edge of West Africa that made a name for itself in the world music movement of the 1980s. The album was co-produced by David Sancious, an American multi-instrumentalist who has left behind some good fusion works, and features colorful African music that lightly fuses traditional West African griot music with pop music. The album includes traditional griot style songs with prominent kora and vocals. You will be surrounded by the warm and peaceful atmosphere that flows throughout the album. (Chee)
