A 1978 double album by American pianist Narada Burton Greene, whose collaborative work "Trees" with percussionist Daoud Amin was featured in the guidebook "OBSCURE SOUND REVISED EDITION." Recorded in a studio in Rome, Italy in the same year, this self-performance work mainly features acoustic piano solos, interspersed with his own percussion and recorder playing. While he performs pieces by Dave Brubeck and John Lewis, all other tracks are Greene's own scores, and it seems to be largely improvisational, with melodies spun out as emotions dictate. His playing is incredibly soulful and moving. This album is simply wonderful.
