This album, released in 1984, features the Swedish jazz quartet Nexus, consisting of Jorgen Nilsson (ts), Hakan Rydin (p), Ulf Radelius (b), and Anders Lagerlof (ds), joined by Italian trumpeter Enrico Rava. While they primarily perform straight-ahead modal jazz and post-bop, the standout track is B3, an original composition by Enrico Rava. It transitions from an ethnically flavored intro to a Latin rhythm, then into a high-speed Brazilian fusion-like rhythm, and finally back to a Latin rhythm. You can enjoy Enrico Rava's unique playing, reminiscent of his ECM masterpiece "Quotation Mark," which was also featured in the guidebook "obscure sound ~640 Selections of Idyllic Records~". A3, with Hakan Rydin's electric piano and Jorgen Nilsson's tenor saxophone, also has a nice urban vibe.

A3: Kaninga
B3: Lazy Sunday
