Parranda Tipica Spirituana
Musica Tradicional Spirituana Vol. III
Areito/Egram (Cuba) 1987
LD-4384 (LP)
sleeve : EX(SRW)
media : EX-/EX-(some slightly surface noises caused by very small and slightly hairlines.)

Parranda Tipica Spirituana was founded in 1922 by the Sobrino brothers Pascual, Armando and Marcelino in Sancti Spiritus, in central Cuba, and was a long-running group that changed members over the years. This album, released in 1987, was produced under the direction of singer/tress player Orlando Toledo Morales and recorded in Havana in 1986. The music is based on an ancient Cuban tradition, the author of which is unknown, and it is a simple composition of tres, guitar and percussion. This is a wonderful piece of music that captures the essence of Cuban music, with its simple but very warm tones and melodies.
