This album was released in 1988 by Pedro Izquierdo Padron, aka Pello el Afrokan, a legendary Cuban percussionist who established the "Mozambique" style in the 1960s. From traditional folklore such as guangoanco and rumba to original compositions by Izquierdo and Berroa, this is a masterpiece of energetic Afro-Cuban music that blends indigenous and emotional elements with conga playing at its core. The raw atmosphere is great. All tracks are highly recommended.
