The first 12" single with three tracks released in 1986 by Whale, a new wave group formed by Yasuo Sugibayashi and Hitoshi Kusunoki, who had been releasing experimental electronic music on their own label Mimic Records in the early 80s. The album "Tamago" was produced by Yasuaki Shimizu and Seigen Ono and was released in the same year. Ono Seigen also participated in this album as a co-producer. A1, remixed by Ono Seigen, is an interesting blend of synthesizer riffs reminiscent of Clara Mondshine's "Luna Africa" released by Invovative Communication in 1981, and Japanese sentimentality similar to Yasuaki Shimizu's "Scarecrow". B2, arranged by EP-4's Banana, has an interesting ska-like rhythm with a trippy synth hook. Sugibayashi's lyrics have a unique worldview.
