This album was released in 1982, the year before YMO disbanded, and was produced by Ryuichi Sakamoto together with Dansley. Dansley is a modern Japanese ancient music ensemble formed in 1972, led by lutist Ichiro Okamoto. They had released their major debut album "Danceries" the previous year on the Nippon Columbia-owned Denon label, for which Ryuichi Sakamoto had expressed interest and commented. In this album, he performs not only classics such as Renaissance music, but also five songs composed by Ryuichi Sakamoto. There are many things to listen to, such as the ancient music arrangement of "Grasshoppers," which was featured in Haruna Miyake and Yuji Takahashi's collaborative work "Ichimen Nanohana" introduced in the guidebook "OBSCURE SOUND REVISED EDITION". Overseas, Luis Paniagua and Luis Delgado of Spain were probably taking this approach at the same time.
